INTRODUCTION This Privacy Policy describes how Easy PWA ("we," "our," or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. Easy PWA is a Progressive Web App (PWA) shortcut creator that allows users to create home screen shortcuts to websites, customize icons, and backup shortcuts to Google Drive. 2. However, the app may access certain device features and data locally on your device. 2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device The following information is stored ONLY on your device and is never transmitted to our servers: - Website URLs you add as shortcuts - Custom shortcut names you create - Icon images you select (from gallery or icon library) - URL history for autocomplete functionality - Shortcut metadata (creation dates, settings) 2.2 Google Drive Backup (Optional) If you choose to use the Google Drive backup feature: - Your shortcut data (URLs, names, icons) is encrypted and stored in your personal Google Drive AppData folder - This data is accessible ONLY by you and the Easy PWA app - We do NOT have access to your Google Drive data - You can delete this backup data at any time from your Google Drive settings 3. PERMISSIONS AND HOW WE USE THEM Easy PWA requests various permissions to enable full functionality of Progressive Web Apps. These permissions are used ONLY by the websites you visit through the app, NOT by Easy PWA itself. 3.1 Internet Permission - Purpose: Required to load websites and check website availability - Usage: The app loads web content in a WebView component 3.2 Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA) - Purpose: Allows websites to access your camera for features like video calls, QR code scanning, photo capture - Usage: Only activated when a website requests camera access (e.g., WhatsApp Web video calls, Instagram photo upload) - Control: Android will prompt you for permission each time a website requests camera access 3.3 Microphone Permission (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) - Purpose: Allows websites to access your microphone for voice calls, voice messages, audio recording - Usage: Only activated when a website requests microphone access (e.g., Google Meet, Discord voice chat) - Control: Android will prompt you for permission each time a website requests microphone access 3.4 Location Permissions (FINE and COARSE) - Purpose: Allows websites to access your location for map services, local search, weather - Usage: Only activated when a website requests location access - Control: Android will prompt you for permission each time a website requests location access 3.5 Storage Permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) - Purpose: Allows you to select custom icon images from your device gallery - Usage: Used only when you tap "Choose from gallery" to select a custom shortcut icon - Control: Android photo picker is used - you manually select which images to share 3.6 Bluetooth Permissions - Purpose: Allows websites to connect to Bluetooth devices (headphones, speakers, smart devices) - Usage: Only activated when a website requests Bluetooth access - Control: Android will prompt you for permission when needed 3.7 Vibration Permission - Purpose: Allows websites to trigger device vibration for notifications or haptic feedback - Usage: Only activated when a website requests vibration 3.8 Body Sensors Permission - Purpose: Allows websites to access fitness/health sensors for health and fitness apps - Usage: Only activated when a website requests sensor access - Control: Android will prompt you for permission when needed 3.9 Google Account Access - Purpose: Required for Google Drive backup/restore feature - Usage: Only used when you explicitly choose to backup or restore shortcuts to Google Drive - Control: You must sign in with your Google account to use this feature 4. HOW WEBSITES YOU VISIT MAY COLLECT DATA IMPORTANT: Easy PWA is a browser-like application. When you create shortcuts to websites and visit them through Easy PWA, those websites may collect data according to their own privacy policies. - Easy PWA does NOT control what data websites collect - Easy PWA does NOT have access to data collected by websites - Please review the privacy policy of each website you visit - Websites may use cookies, analytics, and other tracking technologies 5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Easy PWA does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is not directed at children.
